Fatal Brehl Avenue House Fire Ruled Accidental

twitter

Columbus fire officials say smoking materials or fireworks sparked a Franklinton house fire in January that killed two people. Fire investigators say one victim was smoking on the porch of the Brehl Avenue home at the same time children were playing with fireworks. One of those actions lit a cardboard box on fire, which sparked the house fire. 63-year-old James Blake and 56-year-old Vicky Hudson died in the fire.
