Feds Deport Mexican-Born Butler County Resident

wvxu.org

The Mexican-born Butler County woman with four U.S.-born children living was deported yesterday. Her attorney says she is disappointed and outraged about the deportation of Maribel Trujillo Diaz.  But the attorney says she will continue to fight to bring Diaz back to Ohio. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials say she entered the country illegally in 2002. Diaz says she was fleeing a Mexican drug cartel that had targeted her family. Religious leaders and community supporters had called for her to be reunited with her family in Butler County.
