Former CDP Officer Killed In Motorcycle Crash

Columbus police say a man killed in a motorcycle crash Wednesday night is a former officer. 50-year-old Richard Shantery died when his motorcycle went off Olentangy River Road near Henderson Road and struck a guardrail. Shantery served for eleven years before resigning in 1999.
