Former Columbus Vice Cop Indicted On Additional Charges

U.S. Attorney's Office

The former Columbus vice squad officer facing multiple federal and state charges including the shooting death of a 23-year-old woman has now been indicted on charges of destroying evidence.

Andrew Mitchell has pleaded not guilty to state charges of killing Donna Castleberry during an undercover prostitution investigation. He's also pleaded not guilty to federal charges of forcing women to have sex with him under threat of an arrest. Mitchell is now accused of destroying evidence in his federal case by removing items from an apartment he owned in October and destroying property to thwart federal seizures. Mitchell's attorneys have yet to comment.
