Former Meteorologist Indicted On Child Pornography Charges

Franklin County Sheriff's Office

Former WBNS-10TV meteorologist Mike Davis has been indicted on four felony counts of pandering sexually oriented material involving minors.

The Franklin County Prosecutor's office says the charges accuse  Davis of downloading videos of children engaged in sexual activity and mailing them to himself, but that there is no evidence that he produced the videos or transmitted them to anyone else.  Prosector Ron O'Brien said in a statement that there were a "significant" number of images discovered on Davis' computers.

The 60-year old Davis was arrested at his Upper Arlington home September 5.  Electronic devices were seized from his home and office. If convicted he could face up to 25-and-a-half years in prison and registration as a sexual offender.  Davis is scheduled to be arraigned October 21.
