Federal prosecutors say a former Ohio State University employee has pleaded guilty to charges of using federal grant money to develop research that was funneled to China.

Prosecutors say 57-year-old Song Guo Zheng of Hilliard used 4.1 million dollars in NIH grants to help develop China’s expertise in rheumatology and immunology. He also pleaded guilty to making false statements about working in China while employed at universities in the United States.
