Franklin County Commissioners have allocated more than 2 million in grants and loans to small businesses harmed by the COVID-19 closures.
It’s targeted for low- to moderate-income small business owners who were not able to secure funding through other programs. County commissioners expect to be able to assist at least 200 small businesses. Some of the grants are aimed at helping businesses acquire the new safety equipment and protective gear they may need to reopen safely, and can be used to reimburse purchases already made. The money comes from the federal CARES Act, Community Development Block Grant program, and JPMorgan Chase. More information can be found by clicking here.
