An official with President Obama's Ohio campaign has resigned as chair of the Franklin County Democratic Party. Greg Schultz says he's stepping down to focus full-time on being the campaign's state director.
Columbus Mayor Michael Coleman's former campaign director Greg Haas plans to seek the job. The move comes as the county Board of Elections and the Secretary of State's office investigate payments of nearly 21-thousand dollars made to Democratic fundraiser Melissa Barnhart, who said the money was for previous work done on Columbus City Council races.
