GM Extending Summer Shutdown Of Lordstown Plant

media.gm.com

General Motors is extending the normal two-week summer shutdown at factories in Lordstown and Kansas City because of declining demand for the Chevy Cruze and Malibu models. The facilities will close for as long as five weeks in June and July. Cruze sales to individual buyers are down 3 percent. Malibu sales are down 30 percent through May.
