Grandview Heights To Revise Smoking Ban Ordinance

Tri-Village News

Grandview Heights City Council on October 19 is expected to revise an ordinance passed in September making it illegal for a person under the age of 21 to possess or use tobacco products. Council is expected to approve a revised ordinance that would ban the sale of tobacco-related products and provide penalties for merchants who sell them. City council members say the move is in response to Mayor Ray DeGraw's objection. He says enforcement would be "problematic" because Grandview is surrounded by other cities with differing ordinances.
