Grass Carp Larvae Found In Maumee River

University of Toledo

University of Toledo researchers say the grass carp was found in its larval form last summer in the Maumee River.

It's the first time the carp has been found in microscopic form in the Great Lakes watershed. Federal and regional governments are spending millions to try and keep invasive species such as the Grass Carp and the Asian Carp from reaching the lakes.
