Three guards at the Scioto Juvenile Correctional Facility have pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor charges related to the assault of an inmate last March. 31-year-old Laurel Jeffreys was fired while 28-year-old Nathaniel Strong and 48-year-old Antonio Keith are on the job. A preliminary State Highway Patrol report says five guards are suspected of assaulting an unnamed inmate. The patrol and prisons officials have not released his name or condition.
