Hilton To Expand Downtown Columbus Hotel

Franklin County Convention Facilities Authority

Columbus could soon have its first one-thousand-room hotel.

City and Franklin County officials yesterday unveiled plans to expand the Hilton Columbus Downtown hotel.  A 22-story tower would be built next to the convention center and across from the existing hotel. Public money will be used in support of the expansion. Officials say an expanded hotel would give Columbus an advantage in attracting national events.
