Studio 35 in Clintonville is set to reopen today as it prepres to add a second-story screening room.
The theater has been closed since Monday for renovations, including replacing seats in the main auditorium to make way for the stairs which will lead to the new screen. The new screening room should be ready in August and will have around 30 recliner seats and a kitchen. Studio 35 opened in 1938 with a single screen and an art deco motif and is Columbus' oldest independent movie theater.
