Holiday Weekend Traffic Fatalities Up Over Last Year

The State Highway Patrol says a dozen people died in traffic crashes during the Fourth of July holiday weekend. Four of the 11 crashes reported were alcohol or drug related. Troopers also arrested 749 people for impaired driving and 318 on drug-related charges. Six people died in five crashes during the holiday last year.
