Hospital Chain Gets Columbus Tax Break

An affiliate of a large hospital chain is getting a tax break from the city of Columbus to move into the downtown area. Ohio Health Group, affiliated with Ohio Health Corporation, is moving its offices from the Crosswoods Center development to a building on East Broad Street. Columbus Development Director Steve Schoeny says the move will retain and create more than 100 jobs.

The company is getting a 50 percent break on the payroll taxes paid on 65 new jobs. That would save the firm nearly 277 thousand dollars.
