Husel Seeks Dismissal Of Murder Charges

YouTube.com

The former Mount Carmel Health physician who pleaded not guilty to killing 25 patients by ordering excessive amounts of painkillers has asked a court to dismiss the indictment and alleged misconduct by the prosecutor.

William Husel is charged only in cases involving at least 500 micrograms of fentanyl, because prosecutors say those dosages indicated an intent to prematurely end lives. His attorneys argue Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O'Brien wrongly influenced the grand jury by excluding information about a patient who received larger dosages and survived days afterward. O'Brien says he will respond in court.
