The Cleveland Indians plan to extend the protective netting at their ballpark before the start of next season. The extension comes after a young girl was hit by a foul ball at Yankee Stadium last September.  Baseball commissioner Rob Manfred says since then, he has been talking with team owners about ballpark safety.

The netting will be extended to the far end of each dugout. A protective overhang will also be added. 14 teams have already extended their protective netting.
