Industry Will Partially Fund OSU Petrolium Pipeline Study

ohiopipelineresults.com

Ohio State University plans to conduct a study in conjunction with the construction of a 215-mile petroleum pipeline from Ohio to Michigan. The Utopia East pipeline will transport 50 thousand barrels of ethane and ethane-propane mixtures a day. The study during construction will focus on soil disturbances caused by pipelines and its impact on farmland. The Kinder Morgan company, which will build and operate the line, is giving the school 200 thousand dollars to partially fund the study. Construction is scheduled to begin next month and be completed in 2018.
