ISIS is claiming responsibility for Monday's attack at Ohio State University. The group's news agency says slain attacker Abdul Razak Ali Artan was one of its soldiers. It adds the attack was in response to its calls to target people in countries of the international coalition fighting against it. Shortly before Artan slammed his car into a group of people, got out and stabbed others, a Facebook page linked to him had a post that called for America to stop interfering in Muslim countries. It also said he'd reached a "boiling point." Officials have yet to formally identify a motive for the attack. University officials say three of the eleven victims of the attack are still recovering in hospitals and doing well. Materials Science Engineering Professor William Clark left the hospital yesterday and shared his recollection of the events. Clark had just finished teaching a class at another building. He returned to his office at Watts Hall shortly afterward, but left the building when the fire alarm went off. As fire crews were about to give the all clear, Clark says he began to head back in but heard a large crash.
Clark was taken to a hospital with two deep leg lacerations and contusions. Other than some soreness, Clark says he feels fine and doesn't have any fear resuming his routine.
Clark says many of his students were standing there when it happened and were distraught. He says he gave them a day off and will resume his class on Friday.
