Italian tissue maker Sofidel Group plans to build a new plant in Pickaway Township near Circleville. The company plans to begin hiring hundreds of workers next year with a goal of opening in 2017.
The firm is also buying plants in Mississippi and Wisconsin as part of a plan to continue its expansion in the United States. Purchase prices have not been disclosed.
