Judge Rejects Request To Halt Uber Operations In Columbus

uber.com

A Franklin County judge has rejected the city of Columbus' request to temporarily shut down the app-based ride-sharing service Uber. The judge says there is no urgent need to shut down the company's local operations while a competitor, Lyft, remains in business. The city is suing Uber, saying it is violating local codes with unlicensed drivers and vehicles. The city filed a similar suit against Lyft last week.
