A Columbus man has filed a lawsuit to block the City of Columbus from removing the Christopher Columbus statue from the city hall grounds unless city council takes legislative action.
The lawsuit was filed Michael Young. His affiliation is not clear. Mayor Andy Ginther Thursday announced the statue will be placed in storage until a decision is made on where it will go. The Columbus City Attorney's office says it has not seen the suit, but sees no legal reason why the City can’t proceed.
