Leaders Who Lust: Power, Money, Sex, Success, Legitimacy, Legacy

Among our greatest leaders are those driven by impulses they cannot completely control - by lust. Lust is not, however, an abstraction; it has definition. Definition that, given the impact of leaders who lust, is essential to extract. Barbara Kellerman joins the show today to discuss her views on leadership education, what it takes to build highly effective leaders, and her new book Leaders Who Lust.

Barbara Kellerman is the James MacGregor Burns Lecturer in Public Leadership at the Harvard Kennedy School. She is Founding Executive Director of the School’s Center for Public Leadership. In 2016, she was given the Lifetime Achievement Award by the International Leadership Association. She has written many books and articles about leadership and followership, most recently Professionalizing Leadership, and (with Todd Pittinsky) Leaders Who Lust: Power, Money, Sex, Success, Legitimacy, Legacy.
