Licking County Launching New Program For Low-Level Drug Offenders

Jan 4, 2019

A program starting this month will give first-time, low-level drug offenders in Licking County the opportunity to avoid a felony indictment.

The Second Chance Diversion Program will give first-time offenders  treatment, counseling and community service. It was created after state lawmakers this fall reduced sentences for some low-level drug crimes.  The program is believed to be the first of its kind in Ohio.
