Listeria In Salad Prompts Dole To Close Springfield Plant

The Dole foods factory in Springfield is being shut down amid the company's listeria outbreak. Company officials say the factory that makes its bagged salads will close for two weeks for cleaning, putting 700 people out of work. Twelve people became sick and one person died from listeria in salads produced at the plant.
