Livingston Avenue Gateway Art Work Planned

columbusrailroads.com

Nearly 42 thousand dollars in Columbus capital improvement money will be spent to create a work of art that will recognize the history of the streetcar in the Livingston Avenue area. The work will be an entrance feature requested by area residents. Al Berthold of the Neighborhood Design Center says it will be the third such work of art in the area.

Berthold says the center will ask artists to submit ideas for the work, with a winner chosen from three finalists selected by a committee. The total project cost of 52 thousand dollars will be covered by money from the public and private sectors. The capital improvement money was approved by Columbus City Council earlier this week.
