Local Church Gives Sanctuary To Honduran Family Seeking Asylum

For the second time, a Columbus church is giving sanctuary to an immigrant family.

Officials at Just North United Church of Christ are not naming the family that spent months trying to escape from Honduras.  The parents and two children are at the church while waiting for their asylum case to be heard. The family entered the country legally on June 26th three weeks before a Trump administration ruling would have prevented their entry.  Earlier this year, a woman sought sanctuary at the church to avoid deportation.
