A Madison County man pleaded not guilty this week to charges of killing his wife and two children in a house fire in 2008.
59-year-old Peter Romans faces aggravated murder and arson charges. The case went unsolved until July 2019. Romans says the fire was sparked by an electrical problem in his vehicle, and he is suing the manufacturer. Romans is being held on 4 million dollars bond ahead of a trial next spring.
