Man Charged With Leaving Suspicious Package At Licking County Sheriff's Office

A Newark man was arrested Tuesday for allegedly leaving a package in the Licking County Sheriff's office that authorities say he claimed contained "red phosphorus".   

The offices were evacuated, the Newark Fire Department and Columbus Bomb Squad determined the package contained an unknown "explosive liquid".  Sheriff's deputies arrested 50-year-old Ted Jenkins after subduing him with a taser.
