Man Who Bought Gun Used To Kill Two Westerville Cops Pleads Guilty

Franklin County Sheriff's Office

The man charged with providing the gun used to kill two Westerville police officers formally pleaded guilty on Thursday.

Sentencing is pending for 30-year-old Gerald Lawson, who prosecutors say bought the handgun 31-year-old Quentin Smith used in the February slayings of Eric Joering and Anthony Morelli. A plea deal was filed in court  last week.
