Settlement records show the family of a former patient of William Husel has settled a wrongful death lawsuit with Mount Carmel Health System for 4.65 million dollars.
The family and attorneys of Rebecca Walls will receive the money. It is one of 30 wrongful death lawsuits filed since Husel was accused of order fatal doses of painkillers for patients. Husel was fired in December after an internal investigation was conducted. He has pleaded not guilty to 25 counts of murder.
