New parking rules in the Short North take effect today.
Columbus officials say warning tickets will be issued for a few weeks for violations of the new regulations as residents adjust. Tickets will then be posted on cars in the Short North, Victorian and Italian Villages. Drivers are now required to pay to park by using meters, purchasing permits or using a smartphone app when no meters are available.
