The Ohio Department of Health is recommending people with certain risk factors receive a hepatitis A vaccine as the number of cases rise statewide.
There are 47 reported cases in Ohio this year, compared with five during the same period last year. Department epidemiologist Sietske De-Sijter is urging members of high-risk groups to get vaccinated.
De-sijter says most people who get Hepatitis A recover after a few weeks or months .
