ODOT, OHP Teaming Up To Reduce 2015 Traffic Fatality Increase

The Ohio Highway Patrol reports more people have  died in traffic accidents so far this year than in 2014. More than 1 thousand deaths have been confirmed this year, with several dozen more reported. Ohio had 981 confirmed traffic deaths in 2014. The patrol reports increases in crashes involving pedestrians, bicyclists, older drivers and large trucks. The majority of traffic fatalities this year involved people not wearing seat belts, speeding, alcohol and drivers under the age of 25. The patrol and ODOT are teaming up to try and reduce the increase in traffic fatalities
