Ohio To Allow Feds To Run Health Insurance Exchange

State officials are confirming their intentions to have the federal government run a health insurance exchange mandated by the federal health care law.A letter sent Thursday to the Obama administration reiterates that Ohio will keep its authority to regulate health plans in and out of the exchange, but will leave running it to the federal government. The feds initially instructed Ohio officials to submit a more detailed blueprint of their plan, which is required of those pursing a federal-state partnership. But recent conversations between officials clarified Ohio no longer fits into that category.
