Ohio Hospital Settles Claims Neil Armstrong Died Of Surgical Complications

Court documents show Mercy Health-Fairfield Hospital in Cincinnati paid the estate of astronaut Neil Armstrong 6 million dollars to settle allegations that complications from cardiac bypass surgery led to his 2012 death. 

The 2014 settlement went to 10 family members. The New York Times reports Armstrong's sons contended care provided by the hosptial cost their father his life. The hospital declined to offer specifics, saying "the public nature of these details is very disappointing." The documents were filed in Hamilton County Probate Court.
