The Ohio House has passed a bill allowing pharmacists to offer a generic and cheaper alternative to EpiPens to treat certain severe allergic reactions.

The proposal follows harsh criticism last year after EpiPen maker Mylan hiked the cost to more than 600 dollars for a two-pack. The measure now goes to the Ohio Senate.
