Lake County health officials are reporting the state's first case of West Nile virus this year
A 71-year-old Willoughby resident has been hospitalized for the mosquito-borne illness. The Ohio Department of Health says 20 counties have found West Nile in mosquitoes caught in test pools. There were 34 human cases and five deaths in Ohio last year.
