The Ohio Highway Patrol says traffic fatalities are up this year despite a pandemic, curfews, stay-at-home orders and the rise of work-from-home.
Fatal accidents are up 5 percent this year over last, with 1,125 so far. There have been 105 fatal crashes in Franklin County this year, up by four from 2019. Officials say it appears with less traffic on the roads, drivers are increasing their speeds.
