Ohio's Jobless Rate For January Up Slightly From December

Ohio's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate rose by one-tenth of a point from December to January. 

The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services says the rate was 4.7 percent in January, seven-tenths of a point above the national rate. Non-farm payrolls increased by more than 20 thousand. Ohio gained jobs  in manufacturing, educational and health services; trade, transportation and utilities; and leisure and hospitality.
