Ohio's Public Education Ranking Declines

Ohio's public schools are sliding in a national report card.  The publication "Education Week" has issued its annual Quality Counts report, ranking the state 18th with a "C" grade.  Five years ago, Ohio was ranked fifth with a grade of "B-". States were graded on student achievement, school funding and indicators of student success.  Ohio Department of Education officials say the ranking is not a surprise, but policies are in place to ensure long term success.
