Ohio's unemployment rate for July is 4.8 percent, down two-tenths of a point from June. The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services says today the number of jobless workers is now 278 thousand, down 13-thousand from June. The number of unemployed Ohioans has risen by 11 thousand in the last 12 months. Non-farm payrolls increased in July by more than 11 thousand to a revised figure of 5.6 million. Ohio gained jobs in the manufacturing and service sectors. It lost jobs in the construction and financial services sectors.
