Columbus police say one person was killed and five others injured early this morning when a burglary was interrupted at a home on Scales Drive on the West side. Police say three residents interrupted a burglary in progress, and the six were shot or stabbed when a struggle ensued. The extent of the injuries and names of those involved have yet to be released. Police say they have taken a person of interest into custody.
