OSU Appoints Commitee To Investigate Meyer

si.com

Ohio State University trustees have appointed a committee to investigate head football coach Urban Meyer's handling of fired assistant coach Zach Smith's domestic abuse allegations.

The members are trustees Alex Fischer, Janet Porter and Alex Shumate, former Ohio House Speaker Jo Ann Davidson, former acting U.S. Deputy Attorney General Craig Morford and former federal prosecutor Carter Stewart. The university is trying to determine what Meyer knew and when he knew it, and if he failed to report the allegations against Smith to officials. A hearing on the protective order against Smith has been moved from Friday to September 14th. A spokesperson for the Delaware County Prosecutor's office didn't know why the hearing got pushed back.
