OSU Giving Seven-Figure Salaries To Four Assistant Football Coaches

osu.edu

Four Ohio State University assistant football coaches will make more than 1 million dollars this year, the first time any football program will pay seven-figure salaries to that many assistants.

Ohio State says co-defensive coordinators Kerry Coombs and Greg Mattison will top the seven-figure mark, as will defensive line coach Larry Johnson and  offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson. Assistant coaches' salaries will be just under 8 million. Coach Ryan Day just got an extension that will bump his 2020 salary to 6 million.
