COVID-19 cases are rising in Columbus, Franklin County and statewide, with officials citing increased cases among younger people. Also Friday, Ohio University announced students, faculty, staff, and visitors are required to wear face masks in public places at all campuses and locations immediately. This includes inside campus buildings and outdoors when social distancing is not possible, with exceptions for those with certain medical conditions. The school is also requiring students faculty and staff to sign a pledge, to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

Ohio State University says part of the campus reopening plan will require students, faculty and staff to complete a ten-minute online training course and sign a pledge understanding and committing to the behaviors in the training.
