Ohio State University created a task force earlier this year to review suicide prevention efforts and mental health support services after two students died in the last two years falling from parking garages.
The panel has now issued a list of recommendations. They include promoting a caring campus culture; enhanced suicide screening procedures; creation of a "warm line" for students for non-emergency, peer-to-peer support; and making students more aware of current resources. Crisis hotline signs have already been placed in each campus parking garage.
