OU Student Pleads No Contest To LGBTQ Harassment Hoax

An Ohio University student who said she was harassed and threatened because of her LGBTQ identity has pleaded no contest to a making a false alarm. 

A judge suspended a 30-day jail sentence with the provision that Anna Ayers obeys the law for two years and completes community service. She said she received three harassing notes at her Student Senate office, including a death threat. University police say Ayers, who has since resigned from the panel, placed the messages herself.
