Panel: State Lawmaker 'Probably' Violated Ethics Laws

dalemallory.com

The Joint Legislative Ethics Committee says Democratic State Representative Dale Mallory probably violated state ethics laws by taking and failing to report Cincinnati Bengals tickets from payday lending industry lobbyists in 2009 and 2013.  The panel has referred the case for possible prosecution. Mallory's attorney says he and Republican Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O'Brien are working to resolve the situation. Charges were previously filed against the lobbyists.  Mallory is the latest lawmaker caught in an ongoing investigation of industry efforts to influence legislation. Two others are in prison.
